Vicar of Rushen, Rev. Joe Heaton

Joe has been at Rushen Parish since 2011. Before that he was an assistant curate in the Parish of Ribbesford with Bewdley and Dowles. He studied Theology in Durham after a career working in Research of Radio communication systems in Malvern. Joe grew up in Pudsey in West Yorkshire.

He enjoys walking, drawing and painting, and when time allows astronomy.  Joe is passionate about the Bible, teaching it and getting other people to get excited about it; and about working out what it means to be a missionary church.  Joe has developed a number of software tools to assist ministers in their role (in particular, Thyme and Wellbeing).
